Laine Williams is a proud and staunch New Zealander - and like most New Zealanders, her blood runs black. She tries to instill a sense of the unique 'Kiwiness' into her writing - and also uses it to excuse any quirks of language that the reader may come across. Currently working part-time as medical typist in a public hospital, her work with the a child care and protection unit exposes her to both the best and worst that people can do to each other, and this also informs her writing, allowing her to draw on the wide variety of people she has contact with to develop her characters. When she's not writing about men loving on one another, she's reading about them and doing her best to single-handedly support the burgeoning e-book publishing industry. Unsuprisingly, currently both her favorite and least favorite movie of all time is Brokeback Mountain, but she figures that once she gets over the shock of finally seeing that movie, the position will revert to The Shawshank Redemption. Laine is currently single, and despairs of ever finding a man who will both understand her m/m writing obsession AND let her experiment on him in all sorts of wicked ways. Laine lives with her three maniacal moggies in a small town in the South Island of New Zealand, but not so far south that she rolls her 'r's.
